Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you submit our "Get My Buyer Plan" form we collect the information you provide: name, email, optional phone number, preferred follow-up channel, your search profile (timeline, budget, target counties, priorities, notes), and your consent selections.

For audit and regulatory-compliance purposes we also automatically capture the IP address, browser user-agent, the exact URL you submitted from, the version of the consent disclosure that was shown to you, and the timestamp of your submission. These are retained for four (4) years to satisfy the statute of limitations under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (47 U.S.C. § 227).

2. How we use your information

We use the information solely to:

  • Prepare and email your personalized DFW buyer plan (required to fulfill your request);
  • Send SMS messages — only if you separately opted in by checking the SMS consent box;
  • Place voice or AI-assisted phone calls — only if you separately opted in by checking the voice consent box;
  • Send the monthly DFW market update email — only if you separately opted in by checking the newsletter box.

None of the SMS, voice, or newsletter opt-ins are required to receive your buyer plan, and declining them will not affect the plan you receive or how we work with you.

3. SMS / text-message terms

If you opt in to SMS, the program operates as follows:

  • Program name: HomeBuyingDFW.com Buyer Plan
  • Program description: Delivery of your requested buyer plan and follow-up messages about your DFW home search.
  • Message frequency: Varies — typically fewer than 8 messages per month. Frequency may increase briefly if you are actively touring homes.
  • Cost: Message and data rates may apply per your carrier plan.
  • Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation message, then no further texts.
  • Help: Reply HELP to any message, or email privacy@homebuyingdfw.com.
  • Supported carriers: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, Virgin Mobile, and other U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. Voice and AI-assisted call disclosure

If you opt in to voice calls, those calls may be placed by a human caller or by an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial / pre-recorded voice (an AI calling assistant), in accordance with your prior express written consent under 47 C.F.R. § 64.1200. The purpose of any such call will be to discuss your buyer plan and DFW home buying questions. You may revoke this consent at any time by replying STOP to a follow-up SMS or by emailing privacy@homebuyingdfw.com; revocation is effective within one business day.

5. What we don't do

  • We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
  • We do not share your phone number with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.
  • We do not enroll you in third-party SMS or email programs.
  • We do not run ad-targeting cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

6. Service providers (sub-processors)

To deliver the service you requested, we share necessary information with:

  • Netlify — web hosting and form intake;
  • n8n (self-hosted) — workflow automation;
  • Google Sheets / Workspace — lead record storage;
  • Twilio — SMS message delivery (only if you opted in to SMS);
  • Vapi — voice / AI calling platform (only if you opted in to voice calls).

Each provider has its own privacy policy and processes your data only to provide the named service.

7. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • Access — request a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • Correct — request that we update inaccurate information;
  • Delete — request that we delete your information (we will retain consent records as required by 47 U.S.C. § 227);
  • Withdraw consent — for SMS, voice, or newsletter at any time, with no effect on past lawful processing;
  • Lodge a complaint — with the Federal Trade Commission or your state Attorney General.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@homebuyingdfw.com. We respond within 10 business days.

8. Texas, California, and other state rights

If you are a resident of Texas, you have the rights described above. If you are a resident of California, you additionally have the rights described in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what categories of personal information we have collected, the right to delete that information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising those rights. We do not "sell" personal information as defined by the CCPA.

9. Children's privacy

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, email privacy@homebuyingdfw.com and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the "Last updated" date at the top will change and any new SMS or voice opt-ins will reference the updated version. Past opt-ins remain governed by the version of this policy in effect at the time of consent. We retain prior versions internally and can produce them on request.
